Charlie of Seattle was diagnosed with CLL in 1996, after his dentist insisted he look into the cause of his high blood pressure. After diagnosis, he felt like "an atomic bomb" went off in his head. Until now, very few people knew that Pat had CLL, and he has been in "watch and wait" mode since his diagnosis. Charlie is now ready to share his diagnosis, and he feels the "paradigm of having cancer has now changed." He continues to have no CLL symptoms. Charlie enjoys hiking, working in the video industry, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
