Dr. Danny Parker is an energy conservation research scientist at the University of Florida who was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2010, received a stem cell transplant in 2011, and has been in remission ever since. As a survivor and dedicated researcher, he continues to study myeloma with a focus on continuing to have a productive and fulfilling lifestyle with the disease. He is a columnist for MultipleMyelomaBlog.com with article contributions on cancer and nutrition, impact of new medicines, and a personal perspective from experience on topics like living with the fear of relapsing. Dr. Parker also practices Zen living and teaches a weekly Soto Zen Meditation class.
