Elaine Adler was diagnosed with CLL in 2012 at the age of 72. After her diagnosis, she researched and decided she'd be an outlier to the average life span after diagnosis. Elaine has participated in a clinical trial and feels encouraged by the developments in understanding and treating CLL.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren, gardening, traveling, creating art and music, and engaging in general silliness And Elaine tries to live by the words of Maimonides:
“If I am not for myself, who am I?
And if I am not for others, what am I?
And if not now, when?”
