Dr. Faye M. Johnson is an associate professor in the Department of Thoracic/Head and Neck Medical Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is also on faculty at the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Johnson received her BA in Biology from the Johns Hopkins University. She went on to obtain her PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and earned her MD from the University of Texas Medical School. Dr. Johnson completed her clinical residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and her clinical fellowship in Medical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. During her fellowship tenure at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, she was named the Chief Medical Oncology Fellow in Medical Oncology. Currently, Dr. Johnson is the Chief of the Head and Neck Medical Oncology Section at MD Anderson Cancer Center where she also is the leader of the Discovery Program’s HPV Moonshot. To date, she has authored and co-authored 94 peer-reviewed original research articles, abstracts, and book chapters. Dr. Johnson is board certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine.
