George Florentine was diagnosed with stage IIIA Hodgkin lymphoma after discovering lumps on his neck in February of 2010. After 24 weeks of chemotherapy and challenges with breathing issues, he received a clean bill of health. He enrolled in a clinical trial for SGN-35, a drug since approved by the FDA (brentuximab vedotin). While his overall cardiovascular function is less than it was before cancer, George continues to pursue his love for cycling.
