Katie Brown is a certified patient navigator and the Vice President of Support and Survivorship programs at the LUNGevity Foundation. Katie is also a certified oncology patient navigator. She is a young adult cancer survivor who was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 1995 and served as a caregiver to her father who was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2002. Katie is passionate about patient advocacy and believes in the importance of collaboration and partnerships that focus on educating and supporting patients and their families.
As a cancer survivor, Katie wants to share her advice, "As survivors it is our obligation to pay it forward to help those who come behind us," and "Imagine how fun life would be to fall in love, in some way, with everyone you meet!"
