Read the latest articlesDr. Kavitha Ramaswamy is a Pediatric oncologist and member of the Pediatric Hematologic Malignancies service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Her area of interest lies specifically in the development of novel therapies in refractory leukemias. One such approach was the foundation of my research work in Alex Kentsis’ lab investigating the direct blockade of leukemogenic aberrant gene expression in AML. Dr. Ramaswamy's project goal is to investigate alternative therapy for acute myelogenous leukemia, such as blocking the transcriptional dependencies of AML. She works to continue to build my expertise and skills to translate pre-clinical discoveries into investigator-initiated, rationally designed early phase trials for pediatric patients with high-risk acute leukemias.
