Lisa Minkove of Issaquah, WA was diagnosed with CLL when she was 54 years old. She was not feeling well and knew something was wrong, finally ending up in the hospital, where she was diagnosed with CLL. Her first oncologist was not a CLL specialist, and Lisa quickly learned the importance of finding a true expert in the disease when she found Dr. David Maloney at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. She initially received treatment with Rituxan and has now been on ibrutinib for more than a month. She is enjoying life with her daughter and two grandchildren and says that she gets her support and strength by helping other patients.
