Robin B. Katz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Supportive Oncology. Since 2014, she has worked at Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University with blood cancer patients. Robin provides initial psychosocial assessments to newly diagnosed cancer patients, as well as works with patients and their families on adjustment to illness, grief and loss, and end of life.
Robin’s role also includes assisting patients and families with emotional and tangible needs as well as links to internal and community resources. Robin facilitates the Meaning Centered Psychotherapy Support Group, an 8-week program based on Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. Robin was trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City.
