Dr. Robyn Scherber is a hematologist at UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center. She received her MD from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science, completed her internship and residency at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale and a fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Scherber is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
She is an active clinician and researcher focusing on chronic myeloid blood cancers, specifically myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). Dr. Scherber currently sees a variety of myeloid patients, including patients with myelodysplastic syndrome and acute leukemia. Her research experience portfolio includes the investigation of novel treatment strategies to improve quality of life. These efforts have involved conducting investigational trials that evaluate the impact of pharmacologic and/or integrative care approaches to therapy. Dr. Scherber has published her research in several medication journals including first author publications in Journal of Clinical Oncology and Blood and has won numerous research awards.
