Dr. Scott Antonia is the department chair and program leader for Thoracic Oncology and the program leader of the Immunology Program at Moffitt Cancer Center. He is also a professor of oncology at the South Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Antonia received his medical degree and doctorate from the University of Connecticut Health Center and his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He also completed fellowships in immunology and medical oncology at the Yale University School of Medicine.
Dr. Antonia’s research and clinical interests focus on immunobiology and immunotherapy and specifically gene-modified tumor cell vaccine trials at both pre-clinical and clinical stages. The National Cancer Institute awarded him with a K24 grant to support his clinical research, and he is the principal investigator for a Thoracic SPORE project.
