Stewart Lyman is a biotechnology consultant who writes op-ed pieces in his spare time on various topics in healthcare and drug development. He has a PhD in cancer research from the McArdle Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, lives in Seattle, and is married with one son. After years of studying cancer, he was diagnosed with an HPV-positive malignant tonsil tumor in April 2016. A month after being diagnosed, Stewart was successfully treated with oral robotic surgery. When not working, he enjoys working out, reading and discussing non-fiction books, and taking his dog, Buddy, for walks.
