Dr. Timothy Kruser is an Assistant Professor at the Feinberg School of Medicine. He is also on the medical staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and its affiliates where he is a practicing radiation oncologist. Dr. Kruser’s clinical focus is on the treatment of brain tumors, cancers of the head and neck, lung cancer, and genitourinary malignancies. Dr. Kruser’s research interests include radiosurgery and stereotactic radiation techniques to minimize toxicities, integration of palliative services into the radiation oncology clinic, and collaborative clinical trial efforts with surgeons and medical oncologists.
Dr. Kruser attended the University of Wisconsin where he received his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and also earned his Doctorate in Medicine. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in oncology at the Paul P. Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center, and returning to the University of Wisconsin, completed both his Transitional Internship and his Radiation Oncology Residency. Dr. Kruser has been in practice for over eight years and is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology. Dr. Kruser served as consultant for Varian Medical Systems Inc and on an advisory board for AbbVie Inc.
