Traci Cromwell is married and has teenage triplets: two sons and one daughter. She manages a knowledge management team for a large insurance company. Traci was initially diagnosed with stage 1B NSCLC and had an upper-right lung lobectomy in February 2015. In October 2016, she was diagnosed with stage IV NSCLC with numerous nodules in both lungs. Traci’s tumor tested positive for exon deletion 19, and she is responding well to treatment with afatinib (Gilotrif). Traci is optimistic that the continued advances in treatment options will eventually allow the management of cancer as a chronic illness.
