Zita received a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Chicago and completed the Physician Assistant Program at Malcolm X College in Chicago, Illinois. She then went on to complete the Physician Assistant Residency Program in Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Zita received the 2014 Education Award for Outstanding Post Graduate Physician Assistant Fellowship Preceptor, and her work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journal publications, abstracts and book chapters. She is also a member of the Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
