Mother and daughter, both nurses, Madeline and Kristen share their journey in dealing with cancer and survivorship following Kristen's breast cancer diagnosis at age 35.
Madeline Harris, also Director of the Women's Breast Health Fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham Alabama, shares what she learned about patient care, after being on the other side of the diagnosis for many years. Her daughter, Kristin Noles, a Nurse Manager at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital and School of Nursing, speaks candidly about how her family coped emotionally and what helped her feel powerful while dealing with her diagnosis and treatment.
