Kayla Nation: Young Mother with CML Perseveres

Kayla Nation of Estacada, OR, was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), when she was 23 years old and just two months into her pregnancy with her second child, Bradyn. After the pregnancy, Kayla began treatment and soon after was in complete cytogenetic response. Kayla spends her time blogging and helping others diagnosed with serious conditions like CML. As a young adult with cancer, and mother of two young children, Kayla maintains an immensely positive outlook and feels excited about the future.
