Add to Calendar

Online Webinar

Overview

Join us for a virtual town hall meeting for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patients and family members on Saturday, June 12, 2021, starting at 10 am CT/11 am ET. This 3-hour program will take you through the strengths and weaknesses in the current treatment landscape of CLL. How will current treatments change in the face of cutting-edge developments? And for patients living with the realities of CLL, what can we do about fatigue? How can it be understood, treated and managed for all types of patients? Our co-hosts, Michele Nadeem-Baker and Jeff Folloder, will talk to renowned CLL experts Dr. William G. Wierda, MD, Ph.D., and Dr. Nitin Jain, MD, of the MD Anderson Cancer Center, as well as Dr. Farrukh T. Awan, MD, of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Our hosts will also talk to special guest Carmelita P. Escalante, MD, of MD Anderson’s Fatigue Clinic. We look forward to seeing you!

Agenda:

10:00-10:45 am CT – CLL Now: What is the standard of care for CLL? Where is it succeeding? Failing? What are patients experiencing?

10:45-11:30 am CT – The Future of CLL: Biggest research question is treatment resistance

11:30-11:45 am CT – Break
