10-Year Lung Cancer Survivor Shares How Research Developments Saved His Life

Dr. Michael Weitz, a 10-year lung cancer survivor, emergency physician and lung cancer advocate, discusses his hopefulness in regards to research developments and shares his personal experiences with targeted therapies and personalized medicine. Dr. Weitz shares why he believes patients should consider clinical trials and how clinical trials have saved his life. Dr. Weitz is the Associate Director of the Emergency Department at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California where he practices emergency medicine and he also serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Lung Cancer Foundation of America. "Never give up hope, stay in the moment, and keep on fighting," says Dr. Weitz.
