Randy Broad, a lung cancer survivor and advocate went through a variety of treatments which included chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy. In this video, he talks about how he managed the side effects of his treatment for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which included hair loss, nausea and fatigue. Randy discusses how the side effects changed his life, and how he tried to use complementary therapies, with the approval of his doctor, to help him manage his symptoms. Randy talks about acupuncture, nutritional supplements, and activities that made him feel good, such as manicures and massages. If you or a family member are going through the same issues, Randy’s advice is to take a day at a time, and he reminds you that no matter how bad it is, you will get through it.
