At ASH 2016, David Denny, a Baptist Pastor from Canton, Ohio, shares his story with Patient Power about his 2013 diagnosis with primary myelofibrosis and discusses what he does to stay positive throughout his journey with the illness. David talks about his life post-diagnosis as a patient advocate, participating in support groups and counseling others. His advice to newly diagnosed patients with life-threatening illnesses: "The most important thing is to not let your diagnosis rob you of the joy of your life for today."
