Question from Sharon:

What does it mean when the immunoglobulin free light chains blood results show an increase in all three areas. IgFLC Kappa/Lambda, Ig Free Light Chain Kappa and Ig Free Light Chain Lambda? Other numbers in the Protein Electrophoreses serum seem pretty consistent.

Answer from Dr. Leclair:

My first thought is that you are reacting to recent immune insult (virus, Lyme disease, some bacterial infections, immunizations, etc.) so that your immune system is busy making IgG. If the total IgG is within range, then it could be transient.
